TOPICS IN FAMILY LAW

Thoughts, events, court decisions, and other musing about family law topics in Alberta and Canada.

I am a family law lawyer based in Calgary, Alberta.  A lot of my clients are people who have not had to deal with the court system in Canada before.  As such, I have noticed that a lot of my clients ask me the same questions.  Instead of giving a brief overview of topics to some of my clients, I have decided to start to blog about family law in Alberta.  Some of my blog entries will undoubtedly be commentary on recent case law.  However, it is my hope (and my intent) to keep most of my blog entries written in a way that is accessible to people who have not been to law school.  With that in mind, happy reading.
